The AM-5G17-90 is an airMAX Sector Antenna. The least number of cross polarization isolation is jointly bagged by AM-5G17-90 and AM-5G16-120. It has an operational frequency of 4.90 - 5.85 GHz and includes support for multi-processing and parallel computing.

A Rocket M5 and an airMAX base-station have been designed to work together. They are quite compatible and go hand-in-hand. There are no special tools required to be installed for integration of these two. Therefore, AM-5G17-90 offers convenience and support.

A typical AM-5G17-90 uses techniques and architecture which is quite similar to that of AM-5G16-120. They largely differ only on the specifications of their product such as bandwidth etc.

AM-5G17-90 usually divides the base-station into separate sectors. For instance, division of a sector into 4 parts can increase the capacity by 400% due to re-use of bandwidth. It is now easy to understand that multiple levels of division can be more helpful due to more number of divisions.

An AM-5G17-90 employs TDMA protocols to manage these sectors and assigns time slots to avoid collision. This is where Air Sync comes into picture. It takes the GPS coordinates of each unit and uses that information to manage devices by assigning them with time slots. This process helps maintain synchronization. It is application specific and is used appropriately.

The AM-5G17-90 comes with an airView that provides advanced functionality for analysing the network spectrum. This mainly plots the noise signatures and presents it to the user in a visually appealing form. The user can then pin-point noise discrepancies in the signals and rectify corresponding changes. This allows a proactive approach to sloving noise issues.

Some of the spectral views provided by the airview analyser are Waterfall, Waveform, Real-Time and Recording views. This product inherits many common attributes from its parent models. So, a user may be interested in specific requirements when he/she is looking to purchasing the product.
