AF-5X is an airFiber radio system which is custom designed for long- range transmissions using a wide range of frequencies.
The operating frequency band for AF-5X is 5 GHz. It is, much in similarity with AF-4X, integrated with an INVICTUS communications processing engine to provide flexibility and throughput. The AF-5X allows many radio systems to operate at the same location. This is called co-Location.
This again utilizes the concept of GPS synchronization to avoid interference. Notably, the AF-5X uses the Hybrid Division Duplex (HDD) scheme to reduce latency. This scheme collaborates the advantages of Frequency Division and Time Division schemes. This tries to run FDD and TDD operations simultaneously to improve utilization and efficiency. This HDD scheme is robust and best suited for AF-5X.
The AF-5X has a very well-developed signal processing mechanism that produces cleaner and clearer output which is free from noise. In the vast 5 GHz range provided by the AF-5X, anyone is allowed to set-up and use a radio’s spectrum. This offers flexibility to the user.
The AF-5X is compatible with a large number of Antennas. It works on an airOS F platform and can operate at distances of 300+ kilometers. The maximum throughput offered by the system is 500+ Mbps. It boasts of highest spectral efficiency in the market which is about 17.1 Mbps/MHz.
